General Secretary - Upcell Alliance
Nina is Upcell Alliance’s General Secretary, managing the organization’s overall operations, developing strategic alliances, and ensuring its continued success.
She spent much of her career prior to Upcell at the Catalonia Institute for Energy Research (IREC) within the Energy Storage and Catalysis Group where she managed international industrial research projects, developing a strong understanding of the battery manufacturing process.
With over 15 years of experience in electrochemistry and materials research, she is a highly qualified chemist with a Doctorate in Materials Science from the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona.

Deputy General Secretary - Upcell Asia Pacific
Catherine is Upcell Asia Pacific’s Deputy Secretary General, managing the Asian overall operations, developing sustainable membership and innovative growth, and committing to the international collaboration with shared long-term energy resiliency.
She started her career in the MT graduate program and as Key Account Manager with Schneider Electric China, before joining Suez’ Asia smart-solution team as Business Development Manager.
Catherine holds a master’s degree in International business MACI-BEM-KEDGE and performed an internship within Holcim Switzerland-alternative fuel and raw material team, for global co-processing market analysis projects.

Business Director
Julia leads international business development for Upcell Alliance, working to expand the global membership, collaborating with companies to move joint projects forward, and developing and implementing Upcell’s business plans.
Julia previously worked as a Senior Consultant at OCO Global, an international trade and investment advisory firm, delivering market research, data analytics, and strategies. She focused particularly on projects in the clean energy sector.
Julia holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations with First Class Honours from King’s College London and is fluent in multiple languages, including English, Danish, French, and Polish.

International Projects Leader
Claudia leads on researching, developing and managing international
research projects for the batteries industry, working with Upcell members and
the broader ecosystem to foster further cooperation and competitiveness.
Claudia is a European Studies Master’s graduate from Sorbonne Nouvelle. Following an internship within the European Department of the
Ile-de-France Region, she joined HESAM Université where she dedicated her time to partnerships development for higher education and to European and International projects setup within the framework of Horizon Europe, Erasmus+,
Interreg North-West Europe.
